My mother in law made this for every bake sale and they were inexspensive to make and sold at every one. Follow the directions on a box of yellow cake mix for a two layer cake. Now after taking them out of the pan to cool. Frost just the sides with a butter creme frosting or if you buy the frosting in the can get the french vanilla frosting. Frost about 1/2 inch around the top of the cake and then just add cherry pie filing to the top. Add one cherry and sauce at a time, this will help spread out the cherries. All you need is one can of cherry pie filling, one box of cake mike (follow the directions) and 2 containers of frosting.
Another idea is surprise cupcakes. I make chocolate cupcakes per directions. Now while cupcakes are still how fill the cupcakes with a white frosting. One way to do this is to get a plastic cake decorating tip and place it in a ziplock bag and cup off the tip of the bag. Again the cupcakes are easier to fill when they are still warm. If you are not able to pipe the frosting in, let the cup cakes cool and cut out a section of the cupcake fill then replace. Frost the top with chocolate frosting. Then you are serving cupcake like the hostess cupcakes. Good Luck...

If you need a bunch of recipes for a general event, I'd stick with simple, standard things--cookies and cakes from packages-- (because--believe it or not--people sometimes like these better than fancy kinds--I have made organic gourmet style cookies for my son's school events--and then I have made from the box kinds--and people usually like the junky stuff--it's what they're used to!!..it depends on your eaters!) People will be busy just making the cookies so if you decorate them even a bit they will stand out--make brownies and cookies and pies and cakes--since this is for a fundraiser--the more you make you will make more money for the event--so-I'm not saying do a bad job--but put it in perspective--make a lot of good basic items--and get some basic decorating things--sprinkles frosting--the kind you spread and the kind you spray on..and little figurines to put on the cakes, etc...or put little candies on..they will be glad if you bring in several nice items...
Good Luck--and Happy Baking:)

I'd make blondies and brownies muffins cookies but, I believe that Martha Stewart would be the way to go. Check out marthastewart.com and do a general search for bake sale items. There is also a book that deals with Bake Sale baked goods on amazon.com.
Good Luck

Well, they're not really unique, but No-Bake Cookies are always a hit when I make them. They're easy and cheap too-and all guys (at least the ones I know) love them.
No Bake Cookies
Yields: 18 servings
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix together sugar, butter or margarine, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for one minute, stirring constantly.
2. Remove from heat and mix in cocoa, quick oatmeal and vanilla. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
You can also add 1/2 cup peanut butter to the mix on the stove before you put the oats in...but it depends on the school's policy on peanuts because of allergies.

Use squatty plastic punch cups to make "Dirt Cups and Womrs".... chocoalte pudding sprinkled w/ crushed oreos and a gummy worm. (Keep refrigerated b/c of the pudding, but they can set one out on display)
Bake cookies on a stick and decorate; eat like lollipops.
Cupcakes and icing w/ little toys, rings, flag toothpicks, or other trinkets stuck in the top
Big pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate (about 2/3 of the way) and then rolled in sprinkles, nuts, or left plain.
