why wont they let you speak correctly in your own accent ie welsh , irish scottish etc, are elecutionist as pig headed as the grammar correctors on here, apparently if you say i jus burnt my @ss it dont matter tho, they cant understand what you say unless they correct it too, "i just burnt my rear end, it does not matter though".is this what your asking your grammar is sooo bad i do not understand the question??? and dont you just hate that lol i know im a cheapskate ive just asked 3 questions in one for the cost of 1 q

This is a good question indeed.
Different dialects (and the accents used by speakers of those dialects) have different value to different people. The teachers of elocution lessons believe that the accent they are teaching you has more value than the one you might otherwise use. They intend for you to speak with the more highly valued accent in hopes that people will value you more highly when they hear you speak. This is true for some people, by the way, but only to the extent that people share the preferences of your teachers.

That goes for the grammar, too.
