It should be the narrowest part of your torso.

However, if you can't figure out what that is, use your belly button as a guide. This way you know you are comparing the same spot week after week. It's a great way to measure changes in your body when the scale isn't budging.

Just use a standard tape measure (mine came in a sewing repair kit that cost $4.99 at Walgreens), and you are set.
