I was making a smoothie the other day and it became very think and fluffy like ice cream. Ive used the same stuff that I used that time but it doesnt come out thick and fluffy anymore. Is there any special way to blend a smoothie to make it thick and fluffy?

To make it thick - add more fruit, and ice cream, as oppossed to less fruit and more milk. Keep the base of the milkshake rich in more solids, rather than liquids. But obviously grind the solids up eventualy which will become thick

As for fluffy - well, i just mix it a bit more once it's done. Not too much though because it will get runny. Just keep a balance.

Ok, you need to make sure that you really crush the ice and mix it in a blender. I usually use frozen yogurt with mine instead of ice. It gives it a fluffy texture. Here is a good smoothie recipe for you to try. Start with your favorite fruit frozen or fresh. Add one or two scoops of vanilla frozen yogurt and add a splash of your favorite juice. I like to do a cranberry, orange juice combo or strawberry and banana, or frozen or fresh berry combination. Good Luck. One last thing, try adding a banana everytime that seems to make it fluffy too.

Whip some heavy cream in a blender before adding your other ingredients. This will add alot of air and volume to your mixture.
