Sounds like you need it right away, but for the future.....put the word out to friends. Whenever friends find out I am canning, offers of free jars come out of the woodwork. I've got billions of free jars in my basement storeroom of all sizes.
Do you know any real estate agents? They get lots of jars when old people list their homes. Yarn too. Pianos too. That sounds like a joke, but it's true. My mother in law is an agent, and we've gotten more free stuff that way.

Check out thrift stores, or consignment shops. I know a few years ago some friends sold all their grandmother's old canning jars - close to 1000 of them - quart size for about $0.50 each.
Also check out Craigslist.org There may be something there.

A restaurant supply store. I've gotten a ton of items, from glasses to salt & pepper shakers there. Look in your local yellow pages, there will be one close.

a wholesaler specializing in glass containers would probably be willing to sell to you at that quantity. You should be able to just search for them on the internet.
