Because they don't have protection and there is so much rape over there.I've been HIV positive 6 yrs and it has changed my life.I have to constantly worry about my health.I lost my job which was a very good job and now I'm on disability.People have got to smarten up and realize this is real and it's out of control.God bless anyone who gets it.

It could be from lack of education, but then again, there are plenty of white folks that are uneducated. Most of the African-Americans that are infected with HIV are in Africa, but over here the numbers are high as well. I guess because they don't use protection while having sex. They are just the statistics. There is no one reason. Because it just is. There is no stereotype that makes them more prone. Maybe there are just as many white people that are infected as there are African-American, the white people just don't know it. If they did, then the numbers would be equal.
