My friend's mother-in-law use to place a name in a certain scripture in the bible when we had a new romantic interest. I can't remember what book in the bible it was. Does anyone know. Once the name was placed in the bible, you would pray and it if the person was meant to be either the prayer would help you to see if he should stay or leave.

Sorry, but putting the name of a prospected love in the bible next to a Scripture will not promote God to influence that person in a decision he should make on his own. Now that being said. It is totally proper for you to pray to Him for help in knowing if he is the right person. Also you can hope and pray that he will also pray to God to determine if you are the right person for him. Don't let your desires get in the way of what another person may desire....even if it may not be you.

I think you (and your friends mother in law) are confusing Scripture with some book of Magic. The prayer for guidance is fine, and studying Scripture might be more helpful that just using a bookmark.

Pray to Our Lady and St Joseph and ditch the superstitions.

This sounds like some kind of hocus pocus and certainly is not Biblical.

I agree with most everyone else but don't pray to Our Lady and St Joseph. That just as ridiculas. pray to God and Jesus only. nothing else works.
