How about 'hoping to have a family, but not right now!'. But to be honest, if she's 40 and wants a kids she's gonna have to get a move on, so maybe sounding desperate might not be to bad a move.

She should mention something to the effect of "I have no children, but am definitely ready to start a family." If she doesn't think that will make it clear, she can be a little bolder and add "To this end, I am interested in finding a partner that has not had a vasectomy so that we can build a family together."

At 40 she's almost definitely too old for a first kid. Dangerous for her and the child. It may not seem fair but that's just the way it is. It's called human biology. Tell her there's plenty of things in the world that can take the place of kids. Try a new xbox 360 console -they are awesome. Soon forget about kids with one of them!

With all the alternatives available, she does not require a sperm stud date in order to have a child. She should be more selective for his personal traits vice what he can provide in DNA for her chold. She can get a choice of DNA via any sperm bank through her doctor. Or she could adopt. But looking for Mr Right based on the condition of his reproductive system isn't the way to go.

In the add she should say how important it is for her to find a guy that will want to start a family in the next relationship that they are in. That way it doesn't look like your friend is shopping around for just sperm, but actually looking for a good guy who wants to have children. And if anything there is always the sperm bank, she doesn't need a guy to have a baby, if she truly wants one.
