definitely not... sometimes it means she likes you. we women are some crazy/usually unstable creatures.

It depends on what she said, what tone of voice she had, and what the situation was. It also matters what kind of relationship you have with her to begin with. If she's someone that's not a friend and not even close to being one, she might have meant it. But if it's a friend or someone you've been friendly with, she might be flirting. Or she might think it's okay to say what she did because you two are friends anyway and she's comfortable with it. It could also just be she didn't know she was insulting you and totally mean to.

No. She might have wanted to see how you would take it. Women will sometimes try either insulting you or getting you to do whatever they say to see if they can control you. If they can control you, you have no chance--a woman needs a man strong enough that she can't control him. Also, pretty women will insult you simply because they have been hit on too many times that day and don't want to deal with you. It doesn't mean she hates you, you can try again later, but be subtle and friendly when you do.

any attention is good attention. she took the time to insult you which means she knows enough about you to do that. which means she has thought about you before and thats always a good start.
