As long as you're not feeling strains you're not overdoing it so keep on gradually upping the repetitions and adding weight as long as you're comfortable and not exerting yourself too much. Always warm up before you start.

Don't rush into it. Take your time, you don't want to tear a muscle and then you wouldn't be able to do any lifts for a long time.
Remember, it's NOT no pain, no gain! Pain is your body telling you that your doing damage to it. Your work out should be uncomfortable, but not pain full. So just work out to the point of discomfort and when that point becomes comfortable then and only then go for heavier weights or more reps.

This may sound like a smart answer but you should start adding more weight and/or more reps when you are able to do so.

Slow and steady wins the race.
Step by step, day by day increment in weight is the best one.
Do not attempt very high weight abruptly.
Do pranayama and best breathing exercises to make your cap city increased soon.
