u cannot edit but rewrite the file by replacing or delete the old,
simply open the file edit save on desktop, write the file to DVD-rw

because DVD is not a floppy where it re-editable DVD RW as to burn using there software.

If you want to edit a file that you have already written in a dvd, the best thing you can do is, you make changes in the file that is in your hard disk and then you copy paste it on the dvd.

It will prompt that the same file exists so choose 'replace'.
The old file will then be replaced with the new one with changes...

Load disc, save file, edit file, save changes, re-burn file to disc.
