I have heard that a corn cob is better. Never tried it though. My dad told me that when he was a kid they used last years Sears catalog in the outhouse.

dock leaves are very good(i used one when i was caught short once as a kid foflmao,have you hit on hard times?tesco n asda do a cheap version.newspaper clogs your drains and unblocking is dearer than toilet roll!!!lol
