Satan uses "Logic" and "science" and such to disprove that:
to love is the answer - whatever the question.
Evil is the failure to love! That's been taught by most religions, however it's followed by few, even "religeous".
"The gate is small and the path is narrow, and few are those that follow it". - Jesus.
"If any show patience and forgive, that truly would be an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs." Qur'an: Sura 42:43 (Counsel)
Love and compassion are the two key components of the Four Noble States of Mind revealed by the Buddha.
In India, the heart--called Anahata--is the center of compassion, altruism, forgiveness, and acceptance. Within the Hindu tradition, it is in the heart that love manifests and gives us a sense of responsibility and pure behavior toward others.
Do I have to go on?
Can we change the way they think? Yes, we could if we only wanted to!
We could start by realising and admitting to ourselves that WE are NOT PERFECT! So why do we expect the "others" to be perfect?
Just imagine! If all humans would willingly (not because they have been told) act out of compassion and forgiveness toward the "others" there truly would be peace on Earth! - No, I'm not perfect either! - yet :-)!

Satan comes as an angel of light..........he makes sin look inviting and tells you there is nothing wrong with it.......remember Eve in the garden....used the same trick on her................but the bible says that sin is only pleasurable for a season................yeah I bet that fruit tasted good at the time....but when she felt naked and alone I bet it wasn't tasting good anymore..........people have fun with there friends and have a few drinks and they feel good........but how do they feel with their head in the toliet and a major headache the next day....... Satan will tempt people with sin and say "oh it's ok.....what harm could come?"

Hi XXL,
Oh boy you have gleened a disparit set of answers with this one. I'll add my two cents.
It is said that men can know that which is of God by it's fruit, the same is true of that which is not of God.
Satan is indiscriminant in his effort to pursuade men to depart from the will of their Father. It is natural. Oe in war does not achieve victory by holding to a known and defined set of tactics. Each individual is different and has varying levels of susepability to being enticed or tempted of Satan in any given area. Our weaknesses are enhanced by our willingness to show our acceptance of things that are contrary to God's will (which is enlightenment and progression which brings a fulness of joy).
Satan has had emnity placed between him and men. I do not claim to understand fully this separation or limiting ability to effect, but an element of that division is that he cannot know our thoughts, only that which we exhbit. As such his ability to entice or temp us is only magnified by our actions that allow him to hone in on areas of weakness.
It is in relation to this that we are admonished to forsake all evil. That is to cast of any action toward that which we discover is contridictory to our progess. A good distraction is as productive to Satan as an act of dissaccord. Many a man has been lulled into sin by merely choosing to ignore that which is necessary to progress.
Can Satan actually change the way a man thinks? Not of his own accord. But he can, through many methods, put forth the opportunity for man to consider and choose to act for himself in a manner contrary to the will of his Father.
Love ya!

According to legend, er, the bible,
Satan was God's most beautiful angel.
So Satan lures with beauty and desires of both physical and material.
He cannot affect one's free-will, however.

Absolutely He is the Craftiest-Being-Of-Old. He influences through the Media, Entertainment, and Faith. He seduces through the flesh-self-desires of whatever that may be. He gives illusion to all lost sheeps, and further guide those to continually serve Him by doing His grunt work in keeping the lost deceived. His gifts are nothing more, nor less than counterfeits of the real thing. Nothing He ever gives has the power, nor ability to ever transpire this transient vapor of life, NOTHING. Satan can't give anything that is able to surpass the TRUE test of LOVE, the Selfless Act.
Exactly what our Savior demonstrated In The Name Of True-Love.

Let's look at what Satan does. He helps us gain knowledge. In these parts, we call one that does that a "Teacher". His counterpart (God) seems to be very good at killing us. Well in these parts, we call one that does that a "Murderer". Read the bible and no where does it say that Satan killed anyone. God on the otherhand was not happy killing by himself and gave Moses power to drown a whole army. Who is trying to "influence" who? The teacher, or the murderer?

R U retarted, satan doesnt influence anything people influence things. If you want to sound educated at least do your research and find how these came about instead of asking a stupid question like this. Did you ever read about the romans and how the ideas of catholicism actually came about. It might be something you want to look into

Satan uses all kinds of methods. The most common is by planting thoughts in your head. He cannot read your thoughts but he can send you thoughts. It is your choice what you do with those thoughts.
Second, he uses people he has claimed to spew forth garbage in all forms of media (speech, music, radio, TV, film, Internet, etc.) to increase our exposure to evil and thereby making more common place and make seem acceptable. The more he can get us to do the easier it is for him to claim more of us.
Finally, as we accept more and more evil as common place he has to do less and less because we do it for him. What was once good is now considered bad. And what was once bad is now considered good. The world has gotten turned all upside down and we wonder why there is so much contention in the world today when we consider ourselves so much more "enlightened."
