It's great, if you would enjoy killing people you've never even met, and getting away with it.

The good: Great training and education opportunities. Work is busy, but not exceptionally difficult on a day to day basis. Lots of opportunities to transfer skills to the civilian world if/when you get out. AF Offers the best creature comforts to its members. Highly technical job fields available.
The bad: More difficult to get in right now since AF is downsizing it's numbers, you're on an AEF deployment cycle and chances are you will deploy at least once in a four year enlistment (though the AF Deployments aren't THAT bad), less choice of job and/or location (some, like me, don't mind that issue one bit), depending on your AFSC you might not get paid as much as you can in the civilian world (but then, where would you get free training?). Also, due to recent changes, certain career fields can be sent on convoys and foot patrols with army troops, increasing chance of seeing combat (if in that career field)
Start by talking to the recruiter, if you want to enlist, take the ASVAB, if you want to compete for an officer slot then don't bother with the ASVAB at all since it won't count for anything for you.

First as has been said before take the ASVAB. Its a series of tests that will determine what career field your qualified for. After that talk with a recruiter about your choices, don't commit to anything until you have a few days to decide what you want to do.
The Air Force is a bit pampered, most of us will never see a war directly. Only a few specialties ever see combat: Pilots, Cops, supply folks, and ordinance people.

Air Force is a wonderful environment. You must do as your commander and chief tells you.

What do you want to know? First off, have you qualified for the Air Force by taking the ASVAB. You wouldn't be the first to not qualify. What do you want to do when you are in? Take the ASVAB and that will help you. I liked it, my one sister retired from it, another sister did her time, and my niece is currently serving overseas. Just be positive, hang with positive people and you should have a great time.

Well, your grammar skills are lacking, so I'd worry about that first. It is not air force dear, it is Air force-capital letters!!! Geez. And, unless you score good on the ASVAB, you'll get stuck cleaning floors; cooking; doing some job you don't like-but hey, that's life-and remember, four glorious years....you can't just quit, unless you want jail time.

the best thing to do is see a recruiter. the air force is the most pampered branch of the military... i'm not kidding. i'm army. the army and marines get next to nothing. the airforce gets paid extra for things that the army just has to do normally.
