Depending on what is in your cabage roll. Most rolls have rice in them so it would be redundant to have additional rice on the table. Some people serve them with sauerkraut, (which to me also seems redundant.) But have you ever tried Perogies?? You can get them in the Kosher freezer section at the grocery store, and my favorite are the potato and cheese filled ones...usually I just caramelize some onion in butter to coat them with after boiling. Yum! Keep in mind that you will still need some type of green veggie to make this meal balanced though - unless of course you end up going with the sauerkraut...

I agree with wise guy, the cabbage rolls are the main meal item, a crusty loaf of bread with butter and loaded with veggies green salad is all you need

If these are stuffed cabbage (sarma/galupki) containing ground meat, rice and cooked with tomato soup or sauce and sauerkraut--
I usually serve with rye bread and butter. Sometimes mashed potatoes. But as they have rice in them you really don't need another starch--but you do need the bread to Sop up the juices.
You're making me hungry.

Salad and a bread!
Cabbage rolls pretty much have everything else in them.

Mushroom Rice
Ingredients:
1/2 cup long-grain rice
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound mushrooms
2 scallions
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 cup dry white wine
In a 1 1/2-quart heavy saucepan bring rice and water with salt to a boil. Stir rice once and cook, covered, over moderately low heat 15 minutes. Remove pan from heat and let rice stand, covered, 5 minutes.
While rice is cooking, cut mushrooms into 1/4-inch-thick slices and chop scallions. In a skillet heat butter over moderately high heat until foam subsides and sauté mushrooms with salt to taste until golden and any liquid mushrooms give off is evaporated. Add wine and simmer, stirring occasionally, until wine is evaporated.
Fluff rice with a fork and stir in mushrooms and scallions.
