Looking for a camera shop in the Phx/Glendale AZ area...?

I'm looking to buy a Canon Rebel XTi, and don't want to buy it from the morons at Best Buy or Wal Mart. I'm looking for a REAL camera shop, that sells cameras and accessories like lenses, filters, tripods, etc. Does anyone know of a reputable one in the Phoenix or Glendale area?

Probably the best camera shop in the Phoenix area is Tempe Camera near ASU.

This is where a lot of the local professional and free lance photographers go for equipment (and special processing). I actually bought my Rebel XT from Fry's Electronics (closer to my house and a little cheaper), but I have bought all of my lenses and other equipment at Tempe Camera.

They are located on University west of the ASU campus.

Safe areas usually means more expensive, affordable means that you will probably need an alarm put on your car (we just NOW moved down from the top 10 worst places for getting your car stolen), nothing outside of the city is convenient if you're going to school. You should live right by the school. You'll get student discounts on rent at some complexes. Sounds like Peoria would be the right neighbourhood. We have a lot of really nice areas and the people here are generally very friendly. HOWEVER: Depending on where you're from and how much you can handle, Phoenix has some pretty dangerous areas. The Mexican drug wars have migrated here and we've seen an increase in the numbers of homicides, rapes, and kidnappings. As a matter of fact, our nickname is "The Kidnapping Capitol of America"... The ONLY city in the entire WORLD with more kidnappings than Phoenix is Mexico City. And we're closing in fast.

I am not familiar with Phoenix. Ever consider buying over the internet from these stores that know a thing or two about photography?
