They are different all the time, but this one comes up most. I would need to know which version of windows you are running before I could give you the correct answer. I have had the same problem with windows all the way back to windows 3.1 and was able to fix mine without reformatting. The Ccleaner idea mentioned in a previous answer is a good start; but that is not all you need to do.

Best thing to do is a complete wipe of your computer. FDISK everything and reinstall everything from Scratch. Do not use the same version of Mcaffee you were using when you noticed the system crashes. Use an earlier or later version.. The one you have might've been infected itself. If that doesn't work.. I'm thinking you have hardware issues and need to take it in for repair.

if ur mcafee anti virus few of the features may be disabled, check one by one enable all the option, restart, if still the problem uninstall the mcaffe and reinstall,

if ur still finding the problem reinstall the windows OS
install all the program after that one by one

BEFORE YOU do something drastic like wiping your computer and doing a renstall, download AVG Anti-virus & ZoneAlarm firewall (both free), uninstall McAfee anti-virus & firewall completely.

Then, reboot & turn off your Windows Firewall, install ZoneAlarm, then install AVG anti-virus.

THEN, make sure Windows & all of your computer drivers (especially video) are up to date.

Good Luck

Suggest you copy all files you want to save to an external hard drive or flashdrive, then format and reinstall.
