I have a hard, oval shaped lump perhaps 1cm across in my cheek / jaw area that is not food, it is under my skin in my jaw area. I can move it about too, i can slip it along a bit along my jaw bone. I think they have ocurred on both sides of my jaw, but it seems to come and go. it doesn't really hurt, its just a general annoyance.
Any ideas of what it is?
Thanks.

I have one on my arm, it's a hard cyst that can move under the skin. It's probably the same thing. It's harmless, I've asked my general doctor about it.
You can go to the dermatologist and get it removed or looked at if it's causing you worry.

Could be a calcium deposit. I would call and ask the dentist. If it is along the jaw bone, you never know if it will settle/abcess on the jaw bone (been there done that). It may not bother you now, but I wouldn't leave it to be unless the dentist says 'no problem'.

A cyst. Don't stress it. I get them too. I actually have 2 flared up a little bit right now. Take vitamin E, that may help. But just don't play with it or try to pop it. That will only make it more irritated.

it might be a sebaceous cyst, and these are quite benign. I get them on my scalp. I'd check with the doc to be sure.
