no it's not strep but i was jut wondering what the best thing to do for it is.it's hard to swollow

well. i had sore throat a few days ago and i use salt with warm or lukewarm water( make the solution as salty as possible) then gargle your throat with it. do that up to 3 times daily including b4 bed.but after make sure you dont eat or drink anything for 15 or so minutes. also u could suck on a hard candy or a HALLS sweet that helps too. hope u get better soon

There is a throat spray that you can buy over the counter. I don't remember the name, the one I have is prescription(same thing)
Someone at the pharmacy counter can help you find it. It works
well. I also use warm salt water. My sister uses warm vinegar water, but that is something I can't handle. I think any of these will work. Please take care of yourself. There is something going around in my area that starts with a sore throat and develops into a virus.

Gargle with warm salt water several times a day. Drink hot tea with honey.

gargle several times a day with salt water, it will help.

You can also take lozenges, or use a throat spray like Chloraseptic.

THE LAST TIME I HAD A REALLY SORE THROAT I JUST IGNORED IT, 6 MONTHS LATER I FOUND OUT I THROAT CANCER, IF ASPIRIN DOESN'T CLEAR IT UP GO SEE A DR, MAY JUST SAVE YOUR LIFE, GOOD LUCK.

I've been battling it all week, & losing my voice. I went to the doctor yesterday, & they diagnosed me with bronchitis & gave me antibiotics & Vitamin C.
