Since you said that work in a vet clinic, I'm kind of surprised that the vet isn't doing the surgery for free, or at the very least, giving you a huge break and charging you only for the supplies.
do have a list of links to organizations that may be able to help you. You will need to fill out applications, and I have no idea how long it takes to be approved. I know know one of the links looks like it will be for cats, but I believe it is for all pets.
Good luck and bless your heart for saving the dog.

Your vet there at the clinic should have resource info available. Contact the local humane society also. They may have some foundation names. Also contact the veterinary schools as they may take the dog in as a teaching case. Good luck

You know I think you are doing something really great for that pup and God Bless you. I just can't understand why these money making vets can't help people out with a payment plan to help the people that brought him there. It breaks my heart that they don't help these people and just put these babies down. It is so sad as pets are family. I quit going to this one veterinarian. There are about 6 vets in the building and you know the money they make. I have 3 dogs that are my family and have charged all there bills and just lost one because they use the babies as guiney pigs and guesswork. My baby died and I didn't go back. Shame your vet is that cheap that couldn't help that baby.

I would think the vet(or vets) would shoulder some of the cost and do the surgery at a much reduced rate. They also should know of organizations that might help.

Some rescue organizations will help if it's a pure breed (check with the parent breed's rescue division). Also, check into insurance. Might not help this time but may help in the future.

Maybe you all could host a yard/garage sale . you know have everybody who works there bring in an item or items that can be sold . Or maybe even a bake sale. Our church hosted a yard/garage sale and we raised well over 5,000.00 and it was fun and it was for a good cause such as yours . good luck to you and the dog.

There are sometimes rescues that may assist with the cost. You might try around with a few of those.

See if you can find a vet that will do his part of it pro-bono and sometimes clinics will offer reduced cost care and then they can write it off on their taxes.

If you send me an address, I will donate. You can send me a letter on letterhead to: bridgie7470@yahoo.com
(can't be too careful) I will try to round up some other donations as well. Please also send your location as well as your address and the dog's name, where I can send the donations. A phone # may be helpful as well.
