If Islam teaches death to anyone that won't convert, how can I trust that my neighbor, doctor, friend who might be of this faith won't turn on me (because there is no way I am converting). And why aren't all these "moderate" Islamists speaking out against the radicals? Radicalist are trying to create an atmosphere of Fear. Why would anyone want a group of involuntary followers? They say, "follow Allah and Mohammad or die", and then they say, "be willing to give your life for Allah." What is this obsession with death? I choose to follow the God who says, "I have come to give you life." Don't be confused. Christians are willing to lay down their lives for their God. But each person is solely responsible for their decision. It is not forced upon them by extremists. So, is there such a thing as "moderate Islam" and, again, where are they and why aren't they speaking out? FEAR?

They have been speaking out. But news carriers don't pick it up. Who wants to see a bunch of Middle Class people taling about moderation. Why do you think the idiots on Fox News are so popular -- extremism sells commercials. moderation does not. Instead of letting yourself get wrapped up in the hype look a little deeper.

There is such a thing as moderate Islam - but controversy sells papers and generally will get more attention.
