They believe that God had a creator, a series of gods with no ultimate sourse.

They have not heard of St Thomas Aquinas:

Nature of the Trinity
Aquinas argued that God, while perfectly united, is also perfectly described by three interrelated persons. These three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are constituted by their relations within the essence of God. The Father generates the Son (or the Word) by the relation of self-awareness. This eternal generation then produces an eternal Spirit "who enjoys the divine nature as the Love of God, the Love of the Father for the Word."

This Trinity does not exist in separation from the world. On the contrary, the Trinity serves to communicate God's self and God's goodness to human beings. This takes place through the Incarnation of the Word in the person of Jesus Christ and through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (indeed, the very essence of the Trinity itself) within those who have experienced salvation by God .

They believe eleven men claim to have seen the original golden tablets on which The Book of Mormon was given to Joseph Smith.
But most of them took back their statements."

They left the Church .

The only Apostle who renounced Christ's testimony hanged himself. The others were all martyrs for Him.

They do not understand:
The LDS faith came out of Protestantism which came out of Catholicism.

It depends on your definition. I think of a Christian as someone who believes in the Bible; that Jesus Christ was born to the Virgin Mary, died on the cross for our sins, was resurrected and is the Savior of mankind. And further this person would have to try and live the commandments and follow Jesus Christ example of love towards others. Since Mormons believe this, then Yes, they are Christians.

Of course Mormons have a lot of beleifs that mainstreams Christians do not have, but all Christian religions have differences in beliefs. I don't go around trying to decide who is Christian, and who isn't. If a person tells me they are Christian then that is good enough for me. Only the Lord is supposed to judge people, that is not up to us. Anyone who goes around doing this is not following the Bible.

There are some Mormons who might be Christians, but as someone has already said the LDS church is not a Christian church. They believe their prophets triumphs the Bible and their scriptures are above the Bible. They say the Bible isn't "translated correctly".

The god of the Mormons is not the God of the Bible. To the Mormons, Jesus is the firstborn son of an exalted "man" who became the god of this world. The man-god of Mormonism was made the god of this world because of his good works on another planet somewhere out in the universe. He "earned" godhood, and was thus appointed by a counsel of gods in the heavens to his high position as the god of planet Earth. The Mormon god of this world was a man, like all men, who became a god. This is what the celestial marriage and the temple vows are all about. LDS men, by doing their temple work, are striving for exaltation by which they, too, shall one day become gods. Their wives will be the mother goddesses of "their" world and with their husband will produce the population of their world. This is the Mormon doctrine of "eternal progression."

If I accept you as a Christian, will you accept me as a Mormon?" Would you accept me as a Mormon if I reject Joseph Smith and all the LDS prophets as being prophets of God. If I do not believe in the Book of Mormon or the LDS Scriptures, baptisms for the dead, the temple endowments, the LDS gospel, would you accept me as a Mormon? The answer is obviously, you would not. In like manner, when Mormonism denies the Bible and every Christian doctrine do you think that Biblical Christians should accept Mormons as Christians?

The LDS, church in presenting a false Christ is, in fact, leading souls away from salvation and the real Jesus. They reject God's truth and substitute another Jesus who does not exist and cannot save. Only those who believe in the Biblical Jesus Christ will go to heaven when they die. Those who put their trust in a false Christ will be eternally lost. Every true Child of God knows this, and that is why we try so hard to point men away from false churches, prophets, gods and Christs, that they may find God's true Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved.

Let God speak for Himself by His Word.

Matt. 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 14:10-12).

I do not consider it to be a Christian religion.
If you go simply on the question of weither or not someone believes Jesus existed then Satan would be a Christian, because he knows who Jesus is. So, we must go deeper to decide. There are guidelines to go by.
Do they believe the Bible is the complete and infalible word of God and that Christ is God born of a virgin as the Son of God, died on the cross and rose 3 days later to forgive us from our sins?
They miss more than one of these basic beliefs so I have to say that they are not members of the Christian faith.

WOW!

Thank you for finally asking this question.

I've known many Mormons (LDS), and if you are good at judging people and hating others for not being Mormon, then I guess you can be classified as such.

To add, main stream Mormons used to be polygamists...that is, until Utah joined the statehood. Polygamy had to be abolished for Uhat to join the statehood. Ask any Mormon and watch them squirm....they will not like answering this question....about polygamy.

It depends on your definition of christian.

Yes they believe in Jesus and that he died on the cross for us.

No, they do not believe that the bible is the ultimate authority. If there are discrepancies between the bible and the book of Mormon they will take the book of Mormon.

If you define Christianity as I do as a religion that believes that Jesus is the son of God, our savior and redeemer, and is centered on Him and His atonement, then yes, the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day saints most definitely is Christian.

People who have other definitions may say otherwise - it can be interesting to see all the different definitions out there.

Yes. However, originally they were not but the church evolved over time (a Mormon will not admit this fact)

Anyone who believes and confesses That Jesus is Jehovah is a Christian. So it is difficult to judge who personally believes that or not in a particular sect.
