They believe that God had a creator, a series of gods with no ultimate sourse.

They have not heard of St Thomas Aquinas:

Nature of the Trinity
Aquinas argued that God, while perfectly united, is also perfectly described by three interrelated persons. These three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are constituted by their relations within the essence of God. The Father generates the Son (or the Word) by the relation of self-awareness. This eternal generation then produces an eternal Spirit "who enjoys the divine nature as the Love of God, the Love of the Father for the Word."

This Trinity does not exist in separation from the world. On the contrary, the Trinity serves to communicate God's self and God's goodness to human beings. This takes place through the Incarnation of the Word in the person of Jesus Christ and through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (indeed, the very essence of the Trinity itself) within those who have experienced salvation by God .

They believe eleven men claim to have seen the original golden tablets on which The Book of Mormon was given to Joseph Smith.
But most of them took back their statements."

They left the Church .

The only Apostle who renounced Christ's testimony hanged himself. The others were all martyrs for Him.

They do not understand:
The LDS faith came out of Protestantism which came out of Catholicism.

The only one that I know is that after you die your spirit goes to a place to dwell until judgment day. Joseph Smith started this church stating that 2 angels ,Moroni and I can't remember the other one came to him with a message to begin a new church. There are still Mormons today who practice their old beliefs of having more than 1 wife. That was due to the fact that if a husband dies, another man can wed that woman and take care of her and her kids. They also teach by the Book of Mormon and that was an issue for me because they never opened the Bible during worship when I attended. I hear they have changed their ways AGAIN and now say that they do.

Heads up, you might hear a lot of weird answers from people who...well have heard some confused information.

Anyway, here's a link to the official website of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This page is about our basic beliefs, and I think is a good place to start:

Oh oh pick me pick me I know this one!!!!!

LOL So I am mormon have been for all of my 19 years. basic Principles we believe ( sorry about the lack of caps. my shift button is being stupid)

1. We believe in god the eternal father and in his son jesus christ and in the hold ghost. - Basicly, we believe that God, Christ and the spirti are 3 seprate beings that make up a God head. They run the heavens and all that. they are unitied in mind will spirit, intent everything, but areseprate in physical form.

2. We believe that man will be punished for thier own sins, and not for adams transgression. - we dont believe in origial sin. if you mess up (which we all will) then ya your in trouble, but becuase Adam sinned, or m father sinned, i'm not gonna get stuck with thier wrong doings. we are accontable for what we do, not some one else

3. We believe the throught the atonement of christ ALL man kind may be saved, through obediance to the laws and ordinaces of the gosple. - yes, mormons do believe that they can be saved and that all man kind can be saved... not just mormons. Thats why we worship chirst. cuase he saved us. all of us.

4. we believe that the principles of the gosple are 1st faith in the lord, second repetance third baptism, fourth laying on of hands for the gift of the holy ghost.- This tells up that we have to have Faith, we have to repent and that we need to be baptised and listen to the spirit. just like alot of other churches believe.

5. We beleive that a man must be called of god by the laying on of hands, by those who are in authory to preach and admisiter the gosple thereof. -Just like it says, a man must be called of god, before he is qualified, and those who have the autority will give that person the authoriy.

6. we believe in the organization of the primative church namely apostles prophets teacher, evanglist and so forth. - just as it says, we believe that christ organized his church and so we follow that organization, one prophet 12 apostles, teachers, and evanglist. its great.

7. We believe in the gift of tounges, prophecy, visions, revaltions, interpration of tounges and so forth- basicly we belive in modern day miricles.

8. We believe the Bible to be the word of god- Yes thats right we study the bible!!!!
We also believe the book of mormon to be the word of god.

That is just a few of them. If you want to know more feel free to ask me. Seriously.

This forum probably isn't the best to answer this question because I've seen so much made-up nonsense on it.

www.LDS.org will tell you the beliefs.
