The best to do is to EAT if you're hungry. DON'T if you're not. But always push the fliuds...drink lots of water, oj, broth...

One "old wives tale" that I HAVE found to be true, though:

"Today's milk is tomorrow's mucus."

Good to remember if you have a cold.

The saying goes starve a fever feed a cold, but this is not true. Your body needs food all the time. Even if that food is coming from a nutrious drink. Just don't eat anything that is dairy because it can sour if your fever is high.

Hey u need to feed both. cos the body needs to produce antibodies to fight the infection and these antibodies are formed by the amino acids in the proteins we eat.
The carbohydrates we eat will give us glucose, also needed for various metabolic reactions.. remember that the body is at a heightened metabolic state so it needs more energy
Finally plenty of fluids cos with fever u will sweat out a lot of water..

Think about it...why would you starve your body of nutrients it needs to properly heal? You don't. Therefore, you feed both.
