I had my second daughter a year ago. I have been taking BC Pills since my 6 weeks postpartum check up. The pills I was on were recalled and my ob/gyn changed my prescription. I was taking the new pills and they were making me very sick. So I stopped taking them and she gave me something else. I had to wait one month before I could start them. So I started them three weeks ago and had breakthrough spotting the entire time. I am supposed to start my period Sunday, and decided to take a pregnancy test to make sure the spotting was not because I was pregnant. I saw a VERY faint line. Should I retest in three days? With my other two girls, I had a very dark line, but I tested after I was late and was not on BC pills. Anyone gotten pregnant on the pill?

I should also mention that I took the test and made the girls breakfast and waited about an hour to see the results. Some people say a neg result can turn positive after 10 minutes. Im still going to retest

Any line does not equal pregnant. if it was a faint grayish line than that is not a positive. it's just an evaporation line. that's why the instructions always tell you how long you have to check. a faint line that is pink or purple is a positive. if you think that you could be preggo take another test. i strongly recommend the ClearBlue Digital. there are no lines to interpret. it simply says "pregnant" or "not pregnant" good luck

You are pregnant. I also got pregnant on the pill and i switched over to a new pill and ended up pregnant I took them a whole month while I was pregnant. No problems for the baby. But it can happen even if you get a period still take the test again in about 5 days. I had the same symptoms as you. My son just turned a year old and i got pregnant again too!!!

I tested positive with a first response 4 days before my period was due and the line was faint. I then did another test, the digital one and it said pregnant.

If you did not look at the test for an hour, it is not accurate. It is called an evaporation line, just take another one first thing in the morning. A faint line is a positive if it is read within the three minutes or whatever the directions on the package say.

faint line = pregnant congrats, any line if ANY is a pregnancy ....unless you have cervial cancer that can make a positive test but VERY RARE. but your on and offs with the bc pills made it so they dont work properly, and it takes a month or more to even regulate it so your pregancy ability is small. so im sure you are just pregnant CONGRATS.

Faint line is still a line. CONGRATULATIONS. The reason it is light is because it is still early and there isn't a lot of hormone present. Wait another week and you'll get that dark line. In the meantime call your doctor and schedule your first appointment.
