Fix your plate as usual... get a go box... put 2/3 of the food in the box and eat the rest. Cut back, cut back, cut back. If you pick one of those fad diets and lose weight, when you stop buying their product, all that fat comes back. Cut back, make your stomach believe it only wants a small amount of food. Don't eat till you are full or ready to pop. Exercise to help keep up your energy level and take complete vitamins to ensure you are getting the vitamins you need daily.

Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad fats, water retention and secret trick used by models to flatten their tummy before an event. Reading a book will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below has just enough to know what you need to know. Links page has gov. BMI calculator to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age).

Eat right and exercise.
Count the calories on both to make sure you are doing both correctly. Look for a well-balanced, calorie restriced diet full of fiber-rich whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and low-fat dairy. Exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes.
and... get a support system to motivate you when you want to quit.

Eat right (for this I suggest you go to place where you can get a doctors diet so you don't damage your body) and definitely exercise about 4-5 times a week in gym.

I like my diet..."Healthy choice Diet"...and Water
And just stay active...stay busy do some walking, do daily morning walks. Stay away from too much starch and sweets, just stay active daily aswell as eating healthy. But healthy choice have excellent diet plans. Not everyone can afford the gym, but walking is free. ;)

Lifestyle change, not diet.
And, of course, you need to burn more calories than you consume. Hence, running, for example, burns those calories that would otherwise be stored by your body.

consistent exercise and lower caloric intake. it really is that simple!
Don't expect it overnight. If you do, it is unrealistic, unhealthy and will fail.
