i had this problem as well and did some research... i found out that the reason for me getting these cramps was due to the fact that i was not getting enough potassium in my diet. so, every night before i go to bed, i eat a banana. i also try to have a lot of yogurt and potatoes (potatoes actually have twice the potassium of bananas). low and behold... the cramping disappeared!! every once in a while i still get it... but it is MUCH better than it was before. TRY IT!!

Hello!! For muscle cramps-- I recommend BRAGG's APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. This is a good brand because it is raw apple pectin and undiluted. Muscle cramps can be caused by calcium and magnesium imbalance in the body and also by lack of vitamin E.To help prevent the recurrence of cramps, take a regular tonic of apple cider vinegar. Take 3 teaspoons to 8 ounces of water with 1 teaspoon of honey. NEVER TAKE APPLE CIDER NEAT!! IT MUST BE MIXED WITH WATER OR JUICE!!! You can take BEFORE MEALS!! Everyday--3 times a day!! In your case- drink with water and honey in it!! Be patience!! Also try massage your toes in warm towel. I am very sure your cramps will be a thing of the past!! TRY IT!!

if eating potassium rich foods don't help, try pickle juice - dill pickles - that helped my husband. He drinks it before bedtime - several good swallows -when ever he's been on his feet all day and he hasn't had cramps for about 6 months.
Also the "People's Pharmacy" a syndicated column in our paper says that for unknown reasons people swear that a bar of soap under the covers by the feet helps also - couldn't hurt.

Try a bar of Dove soap by your feet. Put it under your bottom sheet. My husband has Crohn's disease and the meds cause cramps. This is the only thing that worked. Let me know if it's helped. I know it sounds strange, but it's helped many people with cramps and it's cheap.

To get rid of the cramp quickly when it happens, move your feet up and down to get the calf muscle moving. Blood is pumped round with the calf muscle.......I know the heart too, but this does work

Keep them warm and take some potassium supplements. I had the same problem, but by doing this, I've alleviated probably 80% of my problem.
