There are only two boot camps in the Marines. Paris Island SC and San Diego California. Camp Jejune is a training camp yes but it's not a "boot camp". It's where some go for their AIT (training for the job they are going to be doing in the Marines)

Yes, there are only 2 places. Women go to NC and men can go to either NC or CA. I know when you go to bootcamp at MCRD San Diego, when they go to the range, they go to Camp Pendleton for about 2-3 weeks. Thats also where they have the crucible. I don't know if they go to a different area in NC to shoot as well. Maybe that is why he is at Camp Lejeune?

I was in the US Navy (not the USMC) and to my knowledge the Marines still do their boot camp at Parris Island , SC or Camp Pendleton in San Diego. I can not tell you why you boyfriend would be at Camp Lejeune. Call your local Marine Corps recruiter and ask him why. He should know, but be careful because it is his job to try to get you to sign up too.
