Check the system requirements and try to match that with your current computer but it would have helped if you had your computer specs on this thread together with the operating system you want to migrate to.

Usually the install disks have tools on them to let you
know if your PC is ok to go ahead with install,
or upgrades needed, or go to the microsoft site.
