It was truly, utterly (and totally) amazing. The singlemost fabulous experience of my life.
I mean, it changed everything for me. One minute I was straight, chatting to this guy on a matchmaking site, the next minute, I found out he was a she, and that I'm gay.
Awe-inspiring.

I honestly believe at the most its very risky. I've had several dates or women I've met in person who've I've first met on the net. None have come close to what they projected in there emails/calls etc.. maybe I was just unlucky. If I do it again I'll arrange to meet her, find out what shes wearing and check her out first before walking up. Its the safest way. I mean she says she average in body weight sends some old pictures before she had her kids and shows up weighing in at at least 200+ lbs. I know looks are not everything but when the lies start at the beginning where will they end.

DON'T. Finding someone on the internet may not be the same person in real life. Use it as a starting point, but if your cyber-love is 3000 miles away, it doesn't do any good for satisfaction. If close by, you may set up a meeting and go from there. Just be careful

It's possible, but take precautions. People can easily put up a "fake self" to make themselves seem more appealing.
I met my husband online. We loved it. We got to learn each other inside out, and in turn, knew more about each other when we got married than most of our friends.
We met online and talked for a month, and met on Christmas Eve. It was beautiful and a dream come true. We got married within 7 months and have been going strong ever since.
The internet can be a great tool for meeting people in our generation. Use it, but be careful!

I can relate to your question since me myself attracted to a guy from Syracuse, New York. Usually, his writing would never failed to amazed me but right after I found out that he's 35 years old ~ I just simply stopped to attracting him.
Since I'm just a 19 years old and we're living in two different worlds (I'm a Malaysian), I decided to stop contacting him. In fact, he sounded very smart and nice, which I always wanted in a guy...

Absolutely not! I don't think it would work, because long distance relationships hardly ever work and on the internet people can be whatever they want to be.
