I'm just starting a diet and excercise program. And when I run I get leg cramps within the first 3 mins. Why is that? I stretch for 15 mins before runs, still I get cramps. Is it because I overweight?? or maybe its what Im lacking in nutrition?? Let me know how I can prvent this

I would take some potassium...

When i was pregnant i would get leg cramps and the dr said potassium is great for muscles and to take some...it worked...

you might be stressing muscles to much.

if you dont normally run and start running a lot suddenly your body doesnt have the time to ajust. listen to your body.
stop immediately if you start experiencing pain.

build up the difficulty, duration and speed of your excercise, start slow give your body time to ajust itself.

You need potassium, eat a banana every day and drink plenty of water.

You are not drinking enough water. If this doesn't help try quinine pills from your doctor.

CALCIUM is what your lackin any leg cramps, foot cramps etc is lackin calcium....try calcium pills or vitamins with calcium it should help
