how do you ask guest to bring food to help with the party but not sound like i am begging. i can not afford to feed like 40 people and i need some help but i do not know what to write down.

Just write "please bring a dish to share"

Ask relatives to help out with the food instead of getting the little one gifts, particularly the grand parents of the one year old. Then if you can't get adequate aid in that manner include on the invitation that you would appreciate if people brought a food item to share.

i have gotten an invitation to a b-day party before that had sugar and spice and ribbon and curls our baby girl is turning one. then you it had the date and time and all that information and they were having a brunch. at the bottom it had, please help us make this a great b-day for _____ and bring your favorite sweet. or you could put whatever you would want.

It is your responsibility to provide the main stuff, unfortunetely.

But you could put in the invite that:
There will be hotdogs and hamburgers, and plenty to drink! You are welcome to bring your favorite snack to make this birthday more special for ___ !
