traditionally it is not accepted, it really depends on the level of commitment the individual has to their religion...it is talmudic law that a "mutilated body" can not be buried in a jewish cemetery...tattoos and body piercings are considered mutilation...it is also a cultural belief by many non religious jews that they will not get tattoos in honor and memory of the millions of jews slaughtered during the holocaust who were tattooed against their will...

this is a delusion. I examine some thing those days that even pointed out the place the parable began and debunked it, yet i'm able to't remember the place that article became. It became very contemporary although. I first heard approximately it in a biography of Lenny Bruce (the comedian), it reported he have been given a tattoo whilst he became interior the army, and could no longer be buried in a jewish cemetery.

The key is that YHWH ask them not to do as the heathen because YHWH is HOLY! anyone who loves him will do what pleases him and the only way to find that out is to read his word. the OT is not the jews word but YHWH's word> If you believe the Son you had better believe the one that SENT HIM he was a JEW ask him.

peace be with you!

YHWH will not condem those that have tattoo in ignorance before coming to an undestanding of truth! For he is merciful and kind and he knows the heart!

There is a biblical commandment that is understood to prohibit permanently and intentionally marking one's body. Tattoos would fall under this prohibition.

Of course, if someone force a Jew to be tattooed, the Jew would not be held liable for it.

(Leviticus 19:28) God says, "Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD."

That's pretty clear. Anyone who gets a tattoo is ticking God off. Not the brightest idea in the world.

Christians are taught that their body is the temple of God, hence no tattoos. Jews propably follow similar precepts.
