What a big dilemma. If your mother had to make that choice when you were small.... what decision of her would have made you happy?

Of course there are many things that influence your decision: do you have family members who will give her enough love & care when you are gone? Will you be back the coming years to be with her when she grows up? Does this job mean you will be able to give her an education and good start in life that you would otherwise not be able to do?

I know quite a few mothers and fathers who are working in Dubai and living alone, away from their family, only to give them a better financial support. If I could do that??? Maybe not.

Do not let others decide for you, you will regret it later if it was not what you really wanted.

Make a list with 'pro' and 'cons'. What are the reasons to go and what are the reasons to stay. After that you will give each reason a value according to your own heart. See to which side the balance falls over. Do this not just once. Do it a few days in a row.
And at the same time; talk with people about it. Just hearing yourself explaining the situation can shed a different light on it. Maybe others give you a view on the situation that you did not think about before. Then there comes a time you have to make the final decision. Listen to your heart with common sense.

Good luck!

It sucks to be you, but this is what parental sacrifice is all about! Your child needs to bond with you for longer than three months. How long will you be away? Can you take her with you?
