Giving of Tithes is not commanded for the New Testament church. We are to give everything of ourselves to God. So therefore the answer to your question is YES. Tithe your TIME to the work of God, and GIVE more if you are ABLE!!!!

Tithing in the old testament did not include time.

Tithing is not mentioned in the new testament but is a good principle to follow as a STARTING point both in time and earnings.

Neither! A proper reading of the Bible teaches that tithings are livestock or organic produce meant for the support of the Levitical priesthood and the poor in the land of Israel. It has NO relevance for Christianity at all. For Christians we are taught to give voluntarily, freely, and generously to those who are in need and for the advancement of the Gospel.
