I can't find it in a literature book.
Internet searches only bring up quotes with the word "disembodied"

Also, it may be the same thing as a Ghost Quotation.
(So, what's a Ghost Quotation?)

Thanks in advance!

Disembodied Quotation: Quotations need to be incorporated into your own sentences. They cannot stand alone. A stand-alone quotation is referred to as a "disembodied quotation".

Examples:

Integrated quotation - The questioner had difficulty finding information on disembodied quotations. He wrote, "I can't find it in a literature book." So I tried to help.

Disembodied quotation - The questioner had difficulty finding information on disembodied quotations. "I can't find it in a literature book." So I tried to help.

Ghost quotation? Sorry, no idea.
