I think it depends more on how the noodles are cooked. It's quite imposible to eat it on its own.

Frying can mean more calories because of added oil.If you cook it in soup, then I guess it would be equally bad if you add lots of fatty meat,eggs,prawns etc...

I personally like 'bee hoon' soup with lots of vege. Use minced chicken breast meat (skinless) and some fish balls. This would work well with mee sua, too!

Calorie wise,I think they are about the same.'Mee sua' is from wheat flour and 'bee hoon' from rice, both carbo. So be careful of portion size!
