Try Multimaps.com or just follow the A27 then the M27 signposted to Portsmouth Hayling is then clearly signposted on the eastern side. Have a nice weekend.

Yes get in your car drive off the island, turn right and keep going, following road signs all the way.

The surest way is to follow the A27 from Hastings to Brighton. I'm not sure the best way from there but the A259 is the surest bet westwards from that.
