I am opening a take out restaurant in NYC and was told by the salesman that i needed a 3phase 50 amp electrical connection. My electrition made outlets and changed the wiring, but when i got the fryers and grill, there were no plugs. How can i install a plug?

Working with 3 Phase wiring is really dangerous if you make one mistake you will cause a phase to phase short, resulting in a arcblast this will likely distroy your resturant and maybe kill you, If you are asking how to do this, don't do it! It is better to hire a trained electrican to do this. Also make sure that he/she has there own insurance and are certifed by a school. Like I said standard wiring is not to bad but 3 phase you need to leave to the pros.

Go to Home Depot ask a employee to show a 3 phase plug. Tell him you want the plug to rate for 50 amp. He will guide you through the process.

Check out http://www.stayonline.com/reference-nema-straight-blade.aspx

Be sure to know how many wires you need (3 or 4) and your supply voltages and configuration (wye or delta)

Home Depot has them, you have to make sure you have the right NEMA configuration. You also need to call your electrician back to install it.

the parts are readily available but make sure you know what you are doing. 220 volts could do you in pretty fast!
