It is Nero 7. And I get a fatal error every time I try to remove it.

Some programs have their own uninstall file, see if it is located under the "programs" list at the start button. Or, if it is not there, go to the program's folder itself, the uninstall file is sometimes in there, just double-click on it to uninstall.

If the 'uninstall' is still present in the Start-Programs niche, use that.
If that doesn't exist or work email Nero for their uninstall program, if that is not an option you'll have to eliminate it manually, by deleting the program files (Program Files, Ahead, Nero 7) and edit all references to Nero 7 out of the registry (not recommended unless you are quite knowledgeable) Back up the registry before you attempt that!

You can go and buy a Norton Utilities Disc or borrow one and remove Nero 7. Before you do that try Nero's Recommended Tool.

When I had that problem and couldn't locate the file, I used the search button under start, typed in the filename making sure I clicked on "all files and folders", and then waited until all the files were brought up. I then deleted it and any others relating to it.

You should probably go to your C drive locate the file and delete it.clear recycle bin
