The only evidence of a tomb as such is a replica. No knowledge was left of the real one, and that if it were true, would cause traffic jams not beneficial to the city.

Jesus died at 33 and finished his life. He rose again and went to heaven as recorded in the Bible. His tomb of 3 days is available in Israel, not Kashmir. This is all a figment of imagination of people like osho who have nothing to do but rake up unnecessary controversies.

Kashmir is in India/Pakistan. Jesus lived west of there, far west of there. I don't think the're going to have a Kashmir field trip to be burried. What is this Osho book?

First on Osho, he WAS a sex maniac, drug addict and owned 90 Rolls Royce. I think this person's statements cannot be taken seriously.
Anyway, for Kashmir hamlet story :
The theory goes like this... Jesus, certified by a Roman centurion after Crucifixion as dead, walked to Kashmir (thousands of Miles) . These soldiers know if someone is dead because they are professional killers. Then the blood and water that came out when the soldier pierced was only to confirm his death. (John 19:34)
Lets say, the centurion got it wrong...Does it make sense that...
This "almost dead man" moved a huge stone (Matthew 27:60)by himself and fooled 16 Roman soldiers and walked to Kashmir. The punishment for letting a death penalty criminal escape is death in Roman law. Read what the high priest promised soldiers. If it the body snatching theory was true why did the soldiers were bribed ? (Matthew:28:13,14,15)
And for the other theories like... disciples stealing the body and so on...
(Matthew:26,56, Mark 14:51,52, )
These disciples ran away naked when Jesus was arrested. can anyone believe that these discouraged disciples would dare to fool the 16 professional roman soldiers ? Even after the resurrection they went back to their jobs (fishing). (John 21:1-17) These guys were not serious about Jesus at all till Jesus spoke to them the third time after resurrection. All these twelve plus more former cowards died for this one reason - for believing and preaching that Jesus is alive. Will anyone die for 'lies' when they had the opportunity to tell the 'truth' and go free ? Common sense.
These theories like body stealing and so on are not new. they were all tried before even immediately after the resurrection of Jesus (Matthew:28:13,14,15). But they all failed and this faith has grown only. So many attempts were made to make these lies true including the recent da vinci code FICTION. But sorry nothing can stand before The Truth.
Every human being worships something. Even Communists worship lenin and stalin. Others worship pop stars, movie stars, immoral & immortal human beings, sport icons. Man cannot hide his unction to worship his maker.
Jesus Christ, in his days on earth made statements like these -
Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? (John 8:46)
- and there was none. Pilate could not find sin on this man. (Luke 23:4) Herod could not. Pharisees could not, Saducees could not, Script writers could not...
I am the Way the Truth and Life ?
He gave his life for us eventhough he was sinless.
When we prostrate ourselves before sinful, self serving movie stars, sports icons and immoral gurus like Osho, saibaba etc... why not humble ourselves before one true God who has nothing but good to give us - eternal life, salvation from hell. Why not ?

It's as possible as any other account of Christ after the Crucifixion.
There is another tradition that believes that Christ is buried outside a small village in Japan, also. Another says that his body was removed to France or England and buried in a secret grave.
Obviously that can't all be true, but any one of them has the equal potential to be true.

The hoax of The Tomb of Jesus in Kashmir
There is a story circulating for quite some time that Jesus' tomb has been discovered in Mohalla Khaniyar in Srinagar. The story of the 'Tomb of Jesus in Kashmir' is one of the biggest hoaxes, which is being propagated to belittle Jesus and to bring him down to the level of an ordinary prophet.
When Ishmael's generation descended from Sarah's (Sarah was Abraham's wife) slave women Hagar noticed that the promised Messiah was not born among them they were greatly disappointed. The thought had greatly vexed them that the Messiah came as a descendant of Isaac and Jacob, but not as a descendant to Ishmael. This idea made them cook up a story. They rose up another person and called him a prophet. To bring him to the status of Jesus they began circulating the stories that Jesus was not crucified, but another man was crucified in his place instead. To further their claim they cooked up another story that Jesus had migrated to India to escape crucifixion.
Dead Sea scrolls ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Sea_Sc... ) discovered between 1946 and 1956 reveal that Essenes the members of ascetic Jewish sect living in those areas at least 400 years before the advent of Jesus knew that Messiah would die. If he had not to die, he would not have fulfilled the purpose of his coming in this world.
In order to vitiate the purpose for which he came they raised a person as prophet. This person was nowhere of the status of Jesus. They already knew that they can never raise his level to that of Jesus. He never spoke of kingdom of heaven, he never addressed God the way Jesus addressed him as father. He never spoke in parables to reveal the mysteries of God. He never died in passions the way Jesus did. He never sought forgiveness for sins of those who crucified him the way Jesus did. He never revealed the mysteries of him being one of the Godhead through the Holy Eucharist.
The people who believe that Jesus was a mere prophet are sadly mistaken. He was the first human on the earth in true sense. He was divine because none was a perfect human as Jesus is. He was born with all the kindly and humane qualities concentrated in one person. As Adam was the first man, Jesus was the first human. To understand this, you must know the difference between men and human. The man was a stage above animal and humans are a stage above men.
The tomb of Roza BalThe tomb mentioned at Kashmir is said to be of a Jew Josephat Asa. Who had built this tomb? Did Jews build it? No they would never ever do that especially, when they never built one for him at Israel, then why will they build it in Kashmir. Did Hindus build this tomb? It is another one of the most preposterous ideas because Hindus do not build tombs. Then, who built it? The simple answer is that Muslims living in Kashmir themselves built it for the reasons I have already mentioned. They took advantage of stolen body hypotheses, which surrounded Jesus' death and concocted a story to further their claim that Jesus was not crucified. Please read more about it at (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stolen_body...
The entire episode is cunningly contrived. Josephat and Asa are common Jew names. The name Josephat phonetically sounds as Joseph the supposed foster father of Jesus. Asa is a name found in genealogy of Jesus. Read about it at Matthew 1:8, "And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias." There are total 28 generations from Abraham to Jesus. The names Josephat and Asa appear somewhere around fourth generation. Jesus was born at least twenty four generations later.
The name Asa has been contorted to sound as Isa. Arabic-speaking Muslims refer to Jesus as ʿĪsÄ, while Arabic-speaking Christians refer to Jesus as YasÅ«Ê¿ (ÙسÙع). Jesus is considered a prophet in Islam, and his name is used in these two forms in the Quran and in Arabic versions of the Bible, respectively. You may read more about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isa_(name).
Thus, the tomb built in the name of Jesus in Mohalla Khaniyar in Srinagar has nothing to do with Jesus. The tomb could be a dargah of a peer or any other unknown person. Nevertheless, it is a big hoax contrived to belittle Jesus. They are only blaspheming against God and Jesus.
My request to the people circulating this story is that one cannot elevate his own religion by belittling the spiritual leader of another religion. They must keep striving to bring the promised messiah as their own descendant. They must concentrate on the teachings of their own prophet.
