Follow me, my son ...
Reasonably interesting church service on Sunday mornings, finishing just as the boozer opens. Join me for a session before we bugger off back to the old vicarage to watch the footie.
Confession is a doddle. I absolve all sins, and like to tape confessions for later enjoyment so please make them as salacious and wicked as possible

Hi!
I think Kelbini here (one of the answerers) has a good point ,,, it looks as though it is the least condemning of the religions (not that Hinduism condemns, but it is a bit colorful..... maybe you would not like that???)--- Buddhism, I mean .... and from my experience it has just enough of the exotic to be interesting ... I think Hinduism is the cat's whiskers, but that is because I love all the fluff and guff that goes with it (incense, flowers, many many manifestation of God which means many Gods to choose from, although many insist that there is only one God, all the festivals, and all the choices of worship offered; meditation, work (Karma yoga), devotion (Bhakti yoga), chanting, praying, yoga .... it goes on and on ... ) and in addition, I like Hindus ...
really it is up to you and where you are with your self .... so:
Peace & Love

You don't have to join any particular religion or denomination; just study the Bible on your own. The United Church of God has a lot of interesting free literature and a Bible study course. See http://www.gnmagazine.org/litreq/index.htm They don't have all the truth yet, but they can get you started in the right direction.

Yes why not, It has to be definately Islam. I am the happiest women in the world snd proud to say i am a muslim. Plz read the Quran and understand it and u'll thank me one day as u realise the benefits it will bring to u and ur life on a day to day basis. There is one God non unlike him. He has no son or family. He is one and only and we muslims do not materialise it like other religions do and Muhammad(PBUH) is his last Messenger.

I don't recommend any religion.I recommend Jesus. But do not follow Him blindly....try it with your eyes wide open.
I believe that God is so gracious he will answer even the agnostic prayer (if meant when said):-
Dear God (if there is a God) save my soul (if I have a soul) Try it.
You may be pleasantly surprised

First of all you would not be blindly following the one true living God. There is NO other God. I do not recommend Christianity as the best religion, I recommend Christ as your Savior. The benefits of giving Christ your devotion? A personal relationship with the living Lord, eternal life in Heaven. Giving your life to God will bring NO regrets- why wouldnt you want to give your life to the One who gave His life for you and for me. Without Christ there is no life.

If by thinking in terms of 'an all powerful' God you seek to increase your faith it is good.
If you seek to [feel] powerful, by following a belief system, then you are mistaken.
Have you considered Hinduism?
It considers God to be 'Nirgun' (Formless) at the highest level.
The oldest book in the world, Rig Veda, says that "there is one God but people call it by different names". Adi Sankaracharya says that "ekoh bramha dutia naasti" which means "there is one God and no second God". God is generally regarded as Omnipotent , Omniscient, Omnipresent, Timeless (no beginning or end) and Creator of the universe.
God is omnipotent and so able to take any form of choice.
This allows a 'Sagun' (With Form) God to exist.
This then allows humans to interact with God through any of the human faculties of sight, speech, hearing, smell, touch etc.
This is why there are so many gods in Hinduism.
At the highest level (Sagun) God is the Hindu Holy Trinity.
This is more popularly known as Bramha, Vishnu & Mahesh.
These are popularly believed to be gods of Creation, Preservation and Distruction.
Where in the Universe is this not going on all the while?
Look up any Hindu website for further information.
I suggest:-

I would choose Buddhism. There is a set of guiding principles but no deity as such and an acceptance that all things are impermanent and passing hence no real guilt. You should try to think, speak and do that which harms no one. Benefits would be a better understanding of yourself and the people around you and a sense of peace and tranquillity.

It is not the religions that you need to be careful about. It's the so called adherents whose behaviour is quite the opposite to what is laid down. So choose your group/congregation carefully....
