This morning while I was getting ready for work I suddenly felt very nauseous. I ran to the restroom where I threw up stomach acid. I haven't been eating much lately, and I'll admit I have struggled with anorexia, but it's never caused me to vomit for no apparent reason before. Please don't advise me to see my doctor as the small company I work with does not provide health insurance and I can't afford a doctor so I don't even have one. And yes, I realize anorexia is unhealthy; I've managed to get it under control without any outside help, it's just that I've relapsed a bit recently. Thanks for your help.

I didn't take offense, but just so you know it's not my mind. I struggle with anorexia not bulimia.

First off you are probably hungry, people do get nauseous when they don't eat at all. There is nothing in your stomach for the acid to break down so you are vomiting bile....just eat!

Something might have upset your stomach as my daughter often vomits in the morning. Hers is more from sinus problems but yours could be similar with a different cause. I would not worry about this one time incident. You do need to see a doc for an annual physical and if you have relasped on your anorexia recently this also calls for a doc visit. You have two choices if you ask me: you can not see a doc and wind up seriously ill or dead from anorexia or you can see a doc and get help and get on with your life. Since you have a job and someone have internet access consider looking for some insurance as it is not always as expensive as you think if you look at a single person plan. There are also plenty of doctors and clinics for people with low incomes so look into these too. Your health should come first before your entertainment and extra clothes etc.

Look in the telephone book for free health care clinics in your area, or call your local United Way or other social service agency to find one. You should be able to find free care at least for a short time, which may be all you need.

Nausea and vomiting such as you describe can be a sign that you have done serious damage to your stomach and/or esophagus. You should not ignore it.

On the other hand, you could just be pregnant.

i understand that you don't have health ins but reality is that u have to get some type of professional help. like some one mention to you u have not eaten, so the acid has nothing to break down and it make you throw up, you can try just eating small thing, peanut butter help cause yo getting protein, try low fat yogurt and cheese, but you honestly need to get professional help. some hospital offer free care and there's other program that you can register yourself into,
it can also be that you are pregnant, but if you sure you ain't well it's your eating disorder playing a big role in it,, after a while of binging nd making yourself throw your body respond that way without you wanting like i said you need professional help .. good luck

You can go to a county health clinic and sign up for sliding scale service through them. That way, since you have no health insurance, it will not be very expensive. Usually $10-$30 per visit.

Is it possible that you may be pregnant? Or mabye you are coming down with the flu. There are free clinics that you can go to. Look into those. You need to take care of yourself. If you abuse your body when you are young it will make it even worse on you when you get older.

I think the advice from the bearded guy was the best. In the meantime keep some avomine tablets with you or som other over the counter drug to help the nausea.

Don't take this the wrong way but it could be your mind doing this. Your body is so used to throwing up now you mind is taking over your body. Another reason for this could possibly be a stomach ulcer or your esophagus erroding away.
