Good luck! Its not biggie. Actually my root canal hurt worse afterwards then my wisdom teeth. Mashed potatoes and milkshakes were heaven for about a week and then I was eating normal with just a little bit of tenderness. I slept for the first day all day though and did everything the doctor told me to do. Like the guaze, iceing the swelling on my face, and dont push eating. I took only half of the pain killers he gave me and never threw up or had a horrible time like all the other stories I had heard. Actually the only scary part to me was having the IV in my arm to put me asleep, I had never had that done until then. Good luck!

I just got all four taken out so I wish you good luck. A tip for a good soft food - TOFU. If you pan fry it, it's delectable and after a while, mashed potatoes gets really boring. Good luck and fast healing!

good luck! make sure you take the pain pills after & have an ice pack to put on your face incase of swelling, but dont wry its not that bad =)!

Had it done in September. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. You'll be alright. Don't eat rice, you will have a difficult time getting that out of the tooth hole.
