Sign won't help if asking her has not. I have experienced something similar and was quite nasty to that person: I brought up the topic in front of some others that I knew she wanted to impress. She was very upset with me, but it cured her of the habit of not washing. She hasn't spoken to me since, though (fine with me as long as she gets the work done and washes her hands).

I have also "jokingly" told friends who cough/sneeze without something in front of their mouth/nose that I should sue them for putting my health in jeopardy. Especially since they are educated enough to know that they are spreading germs and I don't want those germs. Obviously, I won't really sue them, but they know that I will embarrass them in public if they don't follow basic courtesy and hygiene.

As a less drastic measure, can you have the HR tell her of certain "rules" of hygiene? I think only the thought of some retribution will cure your coworker.

I would just put a sign in there saying that employess must wash hands. It will cut back on the spreading of germs in the work place.*

You should buy some great smelling hand wash (from Bath and Body Works, or L'Occitane, or somewhere like that) and suggest that she try it!

I have a coworker who is HACKING coughing all over the place and it is soooo disgusting as she is in a close proximity to me, so I feel your pain!!!!

Well, unless you're in the food service I don't think you can force someone to wash their hands. You have asked her; I doubt a sign would work. She's not forgetting, she just doesn't think it's necessary and a reminder won't change her mind.

Get her a bottle of anti-bacterial lotion.Maybe she will use that, she might think washing her hands is a bother. If that does not work then you and other co-workers should keep their distance from her until she gets the hint.

First, I'd never shake hands with her. Particularly during cold and flu season, this is a health hazard so tell your HR department that your department needs training about how to stay healthy. That or get her germy *** fired.

Have somewhat backbone and say something, whether it rather is the variety of enormous deal to you. no longer asserting something and speaking in the back of a co-workers back does no longer scientific care the situation. do no longer enable his own hygiene and your phobia create a disturbance interior the region of work. cope with it rapidly and discreetly.

What's stopping you from putting the sign up? I would say go ahead and put it up. Tell your boss to sign it, too. That lady is nasty!!!
