this is what do,i have made many Gardens and some parks and planted thousands of trees in my life.
and made a lot of people aware about Nature and educated them
i tell a lot of school kids the story outlined below, and pass this message on to as many as i can like i am doing now to you,
i talk to farmers about organic farming and soil conservation and reforestation and give advice.
here are some nasty details and some solutions in general
in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification
in recent times thousands of people have died because of exessive heat, usually old people.in India ,Mexico and France,
deforestation causing desertification, the desert conditions causing very cold nights and scorching hot days
in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert, the globe where they were got to hot for them .
and instead of producing food they are now needing it from some where else, and they will drastically effect the world food prices when they start buying water in the form of grains ,at any cost destabalising governments, in some countries ,could be the result
(are you seeing more Chinese around interested in agricultural lands ,we do here in Mexico)
,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were no desserts.
collectively this planet is drying up because of bad farming practices like, over grazing and fertilizers,
as far as the food production is concerned, Global warming or some of its effects are serious, rising seas result in landloss
each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss
more landloss because of desertification every year,we have less areble land to produce food ,for an extra 70 million people ,
and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
who are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers
who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,
because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing
RISING SEAS
The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.
this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.
Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,
At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.
SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes, what every school kid can do is plant trees ,where ever and when ever possible ,and we do this in Mexico,
what helps a lot for polution is that if everybody has a little compost heap by the house to take care of all the households organic waste,Organic waste mixed with rubbish is responsible for 70%of all contamination
reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.
the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.
the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia
Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.
the protection of existing forrests.
stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.
education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion
Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks
,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour
alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine
recicling wastes,limit water use

I moved out of the city, into a remote rural area and now ride a 100 mpg motorbike to town and back once a week for groceries. The only electric appliances I have are a TV, computer, fridg and freezer. Hot water is supplied by a highly efficient woodwaste burning water heater. My water is pumped by a wind system from the creek to a gravity feed reservoir uphill from the (old all metal mobile home). I grow most of my own food, and bake my own bread in a wood burning oven. Bottom line? My electricity usage has been reduced 75%, my fossil fuel usage at least 80%. Now ask yourself, if everyone in the country did this what would REALLY happen to our economy? (does it really matter?)

Nothing. I am not worried about global warming at all. The recent report from Paris is saying that by the year 2100, sea levels could rise by a foot or so. One foot in 100 years. That just does not really worry me. They also say the weather could get more extreme, but I don't believe they really know for sure. I mean, the weather man can't even tell me reliably what next month's weather will be like, so how can they be so sure about the weather in 100 years! Anyway, I also don't believe that it could get all that extreme. Predictions of millions of deaths from storms is just alarmist talk by politicians trying to trick you into agreeing with their plan.
What does worry me is the the world is using up all the oil, and what oil there is comes with a high political cost, so we need to find good alternatives. So I am interested in alternative energy, like solar and bio fuels. And I still hold out hope that fusion power could become a reality. But I am just watching the state of the art, not doing anything myself to promote its development or anything.

I recycle everything I can. I turn off lights when I leave a room even if I'm coming back in a little bit. I don't leave the TV on for sound while cleaning, etc. I put it on when I'm going to sit and watch something. I cannot plant trees where I am in the city so I donate when I can to places that do.

i take advantage of low potential mild bulbs. i have grew to grow to be my thermostat down 5 ranges. I in hardship-free words boil the water i decide on. I force at the same time as i ought to, walk when I can, and use public delivery on each occasion available. and international warming does look happening, and in hardship-free words the ignorant imagine in the different case. international warming skill better snow and chillier situations contained in the centre of continents, better storms, better rain in northern latitudes, better hurricanes, better tornadoes, harsher winters with longer springs and falls. flow confirm, it really is all universal technology, yet because W has his people modifying all the comments produced contained in the U. S. and his relatives's organizations pay scientists 10,000 money each and every time they produce an anti-climate change record, people imagine not something is occurring.

Lots - recycle household waste - paper, glass, clothes etc. Use a toilet 'Hippo' in the cistern to use less water, turn off the tap when brushing teeth. Turned down the heating. Drive a smaller more fuel efficient car. Walk/bike whenever I can.
Stuff like that.
Anyone who denies glocal warming is stucking their head in the sand.

Not one darned thing. I'm going to continue to drive my gas guzzling, 4WD pick-up and die old and happy when they'reonce again, saying the next ice age is right around the corner. You all can stress and worry but I've been around too long to get excited about all this hype. I don't subscribe to the herd mentality.

I recently traded my 11mpg Hummer in on something more fuel efficient. I bought a Ford F250 and now I get 14mpg.

I've taken the doors off of my freezer and refridgerator so they can do their small part in cooling down the Earth.
If everyone did this, we just might be able to save the world!
