We are concerned as we have lots of luggage and are not used to winter, coming from South East Asia. Any suggestions that are cost effective would be most appreciated.Have been advised by our hotel that we should book a limo but rate is 150 euro from airport to hotel!

You might want to check the various shuttle services.

Here is one of them: http://www.paris-blue-airport-shuttle.fr/index_en.php

Five adults should cost 91 Euros if you book online. Children under the age of three travel free if they sit on their parents lap. that same service offers transportation to Disneyland.

You could also simply travel by taxi. With the number in your party you would require two taxis but the cost would be about the same as the shuttle. (CDG to Paris costs about 45 euros per taxis+ 1 euro for each piece of luggage).

Finally, you might consider the buses run by Air France depending on where your hotel is.

Air France Line 2 goes to the Place Charles de Gaulle (Arc de Triomphe) and Porte Maillot (in the La Defense skyscraper district). Buses normally run every 15 minutes from 5:45 a.m. to 11 p.m. The fare is €13 for adults and free to children under age 2.

Line 4 serves the Gare de Lyon and the Gare Montparnasse. Coaches normally depart every 30 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and the fare is €9 one-way.

Buy your ticket at the Cars Air France counter in the terminal or pay the driver as you board.

There is a direct bus service from CDG to Eurodisney (http://www.vea.fr/uk/infos-tarifs.asp), but it costs 16 euros per adult (your kids will travel free) or 90 euros.

RER alternative is cheaper, but taking RER with a lot of luggage is such a pain (although connection at Chatelet is very easy - you just cross the platform, no stairs, no passageways!)

Given the distance, for 5 adults, 2 kids and a lot of luggage a limo is not such an expensive option if they agree to carry 7 people for 150 euros.

From CDG airport there is a bus(every 15 minutes) just to Opera Garnier (the center of Paris). In July 2006, when I was there, the ticket was 8.50 euro/person adult.

the bus is good but could be overwhelming after a long trip with three children, depends on their age and travel "resistance", the shuttle is better as door to door service and no hassle.

DLP (Disneyland Paris) - you can get there via RER (count 1hour from Opera it is line A, just be careful if you stay late at night as the last RER leaves around midnight or just before,

"Regional travel facilities (Metro/RER)
From Paris, the RER line A4 (Regional Express Railway) takes you quickly to the heart of Disneyland Resort Paris... In just 35 minutes, you can be at the gates of a fairytale land where all your dreams come true!
Just get out at the end of the line, Marne la Vallée/Chessy station, 100 metres from the gates of Disneyland Park. "

Do you know, I am so miserable tonight, I have just logged on and hey presto a nutter a kindred spirit sent from above to make me laugh out loud in recognition, and I agree there is nothing to beat the Perfect Dump , so satisfying as a fabulous crappp. You feel like dancing, and taking on the whole world which looks fabulous. I have suffered the drink dump, the sticky one, the ones - like sheep droppings - how DOES THAT HAPPEN. Never done the after a baby one. The encore one is a bloooody nuisance especially if you are late for work. I don't bother with the whole roll scene, I just use baby wipes and thank god I don't have babies arshshes to wipe all day for years.!! The loud ones means you stay in the toilet until you hope everyone else has done the business and left so you don't have to face them. My Dad gave me a tip if you fart, in company just look around in disgust to divert attention or run away from it. I do this in supermarkets, fart, can't help it or keep it in, and run for my life leaving the waft in my wake. Thanks so much I feel nearly normal now. You left out the watery fart one tho'. Usually happens after many days on the booze. Ta ta the noo Love Camilla xxx
