I believe that since a single volcano emits more greenhouse gases in one month than every factory, car, and human does in 50 years, that we should just destroy all of the volcanoes.

What's your solution?

Thank you Bob, but there are many scientists who disagree with that and for their efforts they are silenced and denied research grants.

No, I will be busy answering ridiculous questions like this one in Yahoo Answers. Maybe if you win you can finally afford to go to the Doctor and get your tummy flu checked?
I guess what goes around, comes around?

The hard scientific numbers show that volcanoes are not the cause of global warming.

"INFLUENCE ON THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT:

Volcanic eruptions can [theoretically, he means] enhance global warming by adding CO2 to the atmosphere. However, a far greater amount of CO2 is contributed to the atmosphere by human activities each year than by volcanic eruptions. Volcanoes contribute about 110 million tons/year, whereas other sources contribute about 10 billion tons/year. The small amount of global warming caused by eruption-generated greenhouse gases is offset by the far greater amount of global cooling caused by eruption-generated particles in the stratosphere (the haze effect). Greenhouse warming of the earth has been particularly evident since 1980. Without the cooling influence of such eruptions as El Chichon (1982) and Mt. Pinatubo (1991), described below, greenhouse warming would have been more pronounced."

You can find the same data many places. Volcanic emissions are maybe 1% (probably less) than man's. And, for global warming, the dust emitted swamps that out.

Volcanoes are not the cause of global warming. Fact.
