because usually caffeine is included with sugar (sodas, chocolate)

but really, caffeine will make you dehydrate faster, so its not good for you anyways. i cut out diet coke from my diet (not on atkins, just a life change) and switched to just water instead, in 5 days i lost 4lbs. just all the retainned water!

Caffeine has had a bout of good news recently - It helps you work out, reduces appetite and helps to avoid type 2 diabetes.

Any dehydration effect is simply reversed. Drink more water.

Atkins is a scam anyway. The company that markets the product went bankrupt, the developer of the diet was significantly overweight (if not obese) upon his death and the diet is unhealthy. Almost no one is fooled by it anymore. There are new diets and pills to be fooled by.

The main benefit to lose weight is not some science mumbo-jumbo, just that carbs have a lot of easy calories that people go overvboard on. Soft drinks and bread before dinner can give you enough calories that you should have had with the whole meal very easily and without filling you up. Don't eat the bread, don't drink alcohol or sugarloaded drinks and you'll have all the benefits of Atkins without the drawbacks.

Dont do the atkins diet my auntie had realy bad experiences on it we both went on a nutritional programm together and i went from a big size 18 to a slim size 10 and she has lost over 3 stone and approx 10 inches of body fat! this program realy works email me for more details shellyporter@hotmail.co.uk
