She told me the "let's be friends," but our intimate conversations and eye contact and touching tell me it could be otherwise. She said she wanted to friends and for our friendship to grow to good friends after I explained in detail how much I cared for her over the years. I told her my feelings will grow if this happens. She still wanted to become good friends, and we now have very intimate conversations with a lot of foot touching. I also catch her gaze a lot, and she tends to sit across from me or position herself to talk to me.

She just wants to be friends, sorry or possibly is afraid to ruin the friendship

In short, yes. But not necessarily in the same moment. She may not want more until later on in the relationship.

Sounds like she doesn't know what she wants... be careful, although i don't think she intends to confuse you with mixed messages. Her body language indicates she could be growing to like you, but is afraid of losing 'friendship' factor (which should continue into the romance anyway). Ask her how she feels, 'coz her stance may have changed. She might just enjoy your company. Either way, it sounds like there could be relationship potential.

I've said the 'just friends' line to a guy... but now three years down the track i want more... and judging by recent body language i think he's still into me. It just goes to show that perseverence on the guy's part pays off! Well, sometimes. Some girls don't know what they want for ages. Even though a girl might say the 'friends' line early in a relationship, after an extended period of time, she may realise that she wants you. Be patient, ask her how she feels and you may be pleasantly surprised. :)

This is a tricky one cause most females are so fn confusing trust me I'm one..my ? to you does she have a boyfriend? Sometimes if you cross the friendship line it just ruins everything especially if the sex isn't great, but on the other hand yah all know each other already sooo sometimes it works out but it depends on what she wants also. Does she want to mess around or have a relationship? THAT'S WHAT YOU GOT TO FIND OUT!! Either way just go for it cause you can't go on just lusting for each other it's not fair to either of you.

May be, I think she just want to be your friend. We all need some friends with whom we can share our secrets and feel comfortable :). It is very dangerous to ask her directly, because this can lead in breaking up friendship. Its upto you, you can take help of her friends to find what is inside her or just ask her in a tricky way. But the best thing can be explained by her, So try the second way.

i'm sorry to say that she really juz wanna be frenz.. dats a line that we gals wil say and honestly meant it.. da fact that u think she's giving u close attention is bcoz she's juz so comfortable wit u and there's really no harm wit being a lil flirty.. but, she too may be playing hard to get.. but in ma opinion, she's jus thinking that she noes u like her, so she's giving u special attention to make u feel better afta rejecting u wit the ultimate 'lets be frenz' line...

um yes it's possible but it sounds more to me like she's using you for a hook-up or something...i'd leave her alone and distance myself from the touching because apparently she's into you but not THAT into you.
